Wedding Color Inspiration Board 4: Navy & Red

Friday, November 20th, 2009

Want to create drama in vibrant color?  Here are some inspired photos from Ellice Schwartz to help you bring elegant touches in colors like navy, purple and deep red.

Decor

A tablesetting is a principal way to introduce pops of color in unique ways.  Instead of using red napkins, use plum glass wine goblets.

Lighting

A simple way to bring in lighting for an evening wedding is to use votives and candles sprinkled throughout the venue. Also, ask the venue coordinator about ways to soften the overhead lighting so you can create an intimate romantic mood.

Love love LOVE these dresses. I'm a big fan of the bohemian look for any sort of wedding, but I think it's especially appropriate for an outdoor beach wedding (I blog about destination weddings to Mexico.) I posted a few of these pictures and link to this post on my own blog, please check it out at www.WedInMexico.org. I'm also on Twitter @WedInMexico. Thanks!
