BUDGET TIP: Blossom Branches as Tall Centerpieces

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

By: Jennifer Juhos, Floral Expert, Owner, Fiore Designs

Rooms withe tall ceilings or large outdoor spaces lend themselves to high centerpieces.  For an easy and elegant table display, fill a tall clear cylinder vase with numerous stems of blooming blossom branches.  Don’t fret!  You will  be channeling your inner floral design expert in no time!  The natural bend of these wood blossom branches will guide you and ultimately determine the shape of the arrangement on their own.  Just be cautious and add fresh water the day of the wedding, to avoid any dirt or cloudiness.

For an easy, extra flair, add a few drops of food coloring to cheer up the water, or wrap a colorful ribbon around the vase.  If you are feeling really daring (or want to put your bridesmaids to work), you can wrap the entire vase in a beautiful fabric to coordinate with the theme of the wedding.  Blossom branches come in white, blush & hot pink, and yellow. Branches are available in the spring & fall, and typically range from $9 to $15 per bunch.
