San Antonio Wedding Venues (That Won’t Break the Bank)

In the heart of Texas, San Antonio is one of the most picturesque cities in the South West… a big plus if you’re planning some romantic Lone Star nuptials. Novias on a budget will be glad to know that there are plenty of affordable options when it comes to San Antonio venues. And with gorgeous Spanish-Mediterranean architecture, plenty of lush gardens, and some stellar settings, just about every San Antonio bride can find the perfect setting for a memorable wedding day.

Here are just a few ideas to get you started:

For an Intimate Affair:

If you’re planning on keeping your guest list under 50, consider one of San Antonio’s many beautiful Bed and Breakfasts. Many of these charming inns will help you put together a completely elegant (and stress free) ceremony for much less than the price of a larger hotel. Plan your wedding in the off season for an even better rate, and you might even be able to negotiate a night’s stay for the happy couple.

Go Botanical

Among the city’s most beautiful settings, the San Antonio Botanical Gardens are a surprisingly affordable wedding venue. Not only are the rental fees low, but the spectacular scenery will help cut down on the need for decorations, as well.

Artsy

San Antonio is home to several great galleries and museums—why not get married at one of them? They make unexpected venues… and when else would you be able to celebrate your big day surrounded by priceless pieces of art?

Go on a “Mission”

While the National Park Service of San Antonio generally doesn’t issue permits for receptions on the grounds of the city’s four missions, each church does allow weddings. Take advantage of all that history by having your ceremony at the church and taking your wedding photos at the mission. Then you can move your reception to a smaller local hall… saving you money without sacrificing the wow factor.
