Just as Annette and Jesus fell in love at first sight, we instantly fell in love with their story and the beautiful wedding theme color combination of chocolate brown, latte and ivory. It’s a mutual color between both the bride and groom and no other color scheme could have better represented this delightfully warm couple. After reading about how the groom proposed to the bride, we couldn’t help but swoon over how romantic the entire situation was. He was well prepared with a photographer to capture the moment! Read on to learn how these amazing couple became one and take a peek at some of their most memorable moments.

ParaTiNovia: How did you and the groom meet?
Annette the Bride: It was love at first sight. We would see each other out with our own group of friends, at parties, clubs or music events. I worked part-time at McDonalds which he frequent often. I later found out he would just go to see me. One night out, at a get together, I seen him hanging out with his friends. I really wanted him to come over to talk to me, but he was too shy. So, I asked a friend to hand him my number, the day was November 08, 1997. He called, and every time we would contact each other, we would talk for hours. We had so much in common and we both were excited to know about each other. 2 months later, (yes! 2 months!) he asked me out. It was January 1, 2008. Movie and almost dinner. I declined on dinner because I was too embarrassed to sit across from him and eat. Haha. Months later he asked me to be his g/f, and we have not been apart since. We always seemed to include each other in our wishes for the future. We soon realized we couldn’t be without each other.

ParaTiNovia: How did he propose?
Annette the Bride: After 11 years, Jesus proposed, he sure made me wait, but he knew exactly what he was doing and could have not done it any better. It was a special time in my life… The day was Sat. March 28, 2009. Jesus took me to Newport Beach where he had made reservations to take us on a Gondola cruise. It was very romantic. He also hired a professional photographer to snap pictures of every moment. Then, to my surprise mid way through the cruise he proposed. Of course, I said yes!!!! It was the moment I had been dreaming about. Little to my surprise, he still had something up his sleeve. After the proposal, we headed to a restaurant for drinks to celebrate. We arrived at the restaurant and as we walked in, I heard Mariachi starting to play. He had contracted Mariachi and reserved the patio themed banquet room, which was located steps from the entrance. I noticed some familiar faces, the photographer (once again), our family and closest friends. WOW! He had sent out invitations for them to meet us there and celebrate. They had been waiting for us to arrive. I was shocked!!! I cried. Never had I’ve been so surprised!!!! He made me feel so special, something I will never forget. It was so emotional. I was in disbelief. I loved it!
