Juan & Miranda’s Engagement Photo Session

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

Ok ladies!  We wanted to share this incredible Engagement Photo Shoot from one of our own readers – Miranda!  Thanks Miranda.

We always love getting real wedding and engagement pics. And, when we saw these photos we just had to share…as soon as possible.

We especially love this photo shoot because these pics tell the story of Miranda and Juan’s own relationship.

Where they first met!

Juan and Miranda started with this adorable picture. That building in the background? It’s where they first lived when they moved in together. Like all of their pics, they used places that had meaning to them as background. (Are these two adorable or what?!) You can personalize your own engagement pictures by subtly incorporating things that are meaningful to you and your hubby to be, as well. Use the pics to tell the story of “you”, and they’re guaranteed to stand out!  miranda_2miranda_3Why stay in one place? A strolling tour through all of their favorite places made this couple’s photo session completely unique. Talk to your own photog about taking several shots in different spots, as opposed to keeping all your poses stationary. Other fun engagement pic ideas include playing with weather (sunshine is fabulous, but rainy day shots under colorful umbrellas can be absolutely adorable), using nature to your advantage (a field of brightly colored flowers or his and her surfing pics, perhaps?), or even out of the ordinary locations (phone booths, bakeries, shops, or a row of brightly lit streetlamps all make for intimate and fun settings).miranda_4miranda_5Who says all wedding photos have to be formal? These shots, taken where Miranda and Juan had their very first date, look completely candid; and that makes them all the more romantic. Here’s where the importance of a great photographer comes in. There’s nothing staged about any of these pics… it’s just Juan and Miranda looking completely in love and ridiculously happy.miranda_8Be on the lookout for more from this fun pareja as they let us follow them through the entire wedding planning process! miranda_1

Love love LOVE these dresses. I'm a big fan of the bohemian look for any sort of wedding, but I think it's especially appropriate for an outdoor beach wedding (I blog about destination weddings to Mexico.) I posted a few of these pictures and link to this post on my own blog, please check it out at www.WedInMexico.org. I'm also on Twitter @WedInMexico. Thanks!
