Hispanic Cultural Traditions: The Dress

Friday, January 15th, 2010

By: Veronika Lazabal

Looking for a cool way to incorporate a few Hispanic touches to your big day? We’ve got you covered!

Traditional Spanish weddings are alive with rich color and drama… why not borrow that feel for your own boda? And what better place to start than your dress?

Subtle Spanish touches include column dresses with Flamenco style ruffles along the hem, or a gorgeous lace mantilla veil. For something a little more dramatic, consider pairing a slim dress with a bolero jacket.

Touches of red and black are another way to add some Spanish flavor—on the wedding party, the groom’s tux and tie, even your dress!
