Eco-Friendly Alternative to Papel Picado: Fabric Picado

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

Looking to bring a fresh, youthful, and downright amazing quality to your backyard wedding fete? Concerned about keeping your paper usage down? Love traditional cultural elements, but want to put your own spin on things?

Papel picado can add a beautiful touch to any wedding reception décor, but have you ever considered working with fabric? Yes… fabric!

Take fabric that you already own (or pick up remnants at a sewing or crafts shop for a song) and think about dying and snipping it.

We all have tons of things around the house that we never use… instead of tossing them, why not re-use them in creative ways? It may just end up being the highlight of your wedding décor!
