If you read last month’s Martha Stewart magazine, you may have seen a story about her pop up wedding chapel in Brooklyn, NYC. An incredible feat for sure. We loved in particular the incredible paper flowers that she hung up all around the chapel that she strung together for a unified look. They make for an incredible back picture backdrop in one section of your wedding or we love it for a bridal shower lunch.
So for those of you who love do-it-yourself touches, we wanted to showcase this Daisy Chain idea that we came across on Rachel Thurston’s blog. Chic, simple and color coordinated, Rachel’s incredible project began because she wanted to remember all the reasons why she and her soon to be husband fell in love right before their wedding.
How she did it:
She took paper in three different colors to keep the look simple and coordinated. She and her fiance then wrote different things that struck them about being and staying together. How Romantic!
For a twist, try using flowers in various colors to match the theme of your wedding.
Incorporating it into your Bridal Shower
We have all heard about all the different games that can be played at a bridal shower. What if you in addition asked your guests to write one thing that they wish for you and your hubby to be on various colored paper or flowers or whatever paper items you choose. Then string them up after the shower and use the different strings or chains for a photo booth style backdrop at your wedding or for the goodbyes at a shower.
