Ok ladies… now that you have given some thought to your wedding budget, how do you know how much to allocate towards flowers? There are many schools of thought, but the most popular way to establish a budget is to set aside 10% of your entire wedding budget for florals.
If flowers & décor are really important to you, cut back slightly on other areas of the wedding so that you can really accentuate the space with decor! Once you have determined your flower budget, you can then decide where you want most of the decor. Personal flowers, like bouquets & boutonnieres are a must, so don’t skimp there!
You may want to consider lightly decorating the ceremony and cocktail areas, in order to really showcase the reception space… after all, this is where your guests will be spending most of their time. Ask your florist for a detailed proposal so you can see the breakdown and make changes, if necessary. Now go grab your floral wands and create a magical event!
