Some of us may not be so lucky as to have all our loved ones at our wedding. Fortunately, there are ways to honor those family members or dear friends who are no longer with us.
A simple & thoughtful way to preserve the memory of someone is by keeping a single ceremony chair in the front row empty with a lovely note or ribbon. Guests will take notice and walk by the chair to find a subtle, kind remembrance.
Keep someone close to your heart while you walk down the aisle by attaching a charm or small photo of him/her. A florist will be able to pin or incorporate the item into your bouquet or ribbon handle.
Keep someone’s memory close by adding a fashionable heirloom to your wedding attire. Broaches or vintage jewelry will bring flair to most dress styles and allow you to share a legacy of someone meaningful to you.
Incorporate a photo or series of photos in a visible area of your wedding to keep a memory alive. A sign in or escort card table during cocktail hour may seem perfect so that guests can take their time viewing the photos. Another area may be a fireplace mantle or coffee table in a lounge area.
These subtle gestures will involve your guests and allow you to keep your memories close!
