So you’ve made the decision to go green with your wedding… now how do you find a venue that vibes with your planet-friendly plans?
When looking at hotels and reception halls, look for the LEED or Energy Star certifications to know that a company is eco-minded. But quite possibly, your best bet may just be to take your reception outdoors.
Parks, beaches, forests, or vineyards provide stunning atmosphere; all while keeping decoration costs down. (And without the need for energy draining lights) Also, choosing a venue that most of your guests don’t have to travel far to get to will help keep your wedding’s carbon footprint at a minimum.
